Individual journey to Paris. It’s possible to start the journey from several airports in Germany to Paris. Please ask for it. In the evening flight to Antananarivo (Tana), the capital city of Madagascar.
Arrival at Ivato Airport (Tana). Check-out and transfer to the Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast. Welcome and further information about the journey. In the afternoon visit of the Zoological-Botanical Garden Tsimbazaza. Here we find a good number of animals and plants typical for Madagascar. Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Today we begin with sightseeing tour: visit of the markets of Tana and buildings of the period of colonial. In the afternoon we visit the king hill Abohimanga and Antsahadinta. Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
After breakfast ride to Ampefy, a wonderful landscape of volcanic origin. Walk around the lakes and the village always in direct contact with the people. Hotel Kavitaha or equivalent, bed and breakfast
After breakfast a long walk to the Lily Waterfalls with a very old electricity installation. A small picknick will be served, then ride to the Geysers, if the weather is fine. Hotel Kavitaha or equivalent, bed and breakfast, lunch.
Back to Tana, where we go to one of the local markets. Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Travel to Tamatave at the East Cost, the most important port of Madagascar. We transit the highlands rainforest with unique views into the mysterious world of Madagascar. Hotel Noor or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Citytour with the “Pousse-Pousse” to visit the old houses and buildings of the town. This is the way how natives can earn some money. A very small marine museum is visited. Then a 3 hrs drive to Ambila Lemaitso, situated on the “Canal des Pangalanes”. Hotel Malaky or equivalent, bed and breakfast
A day of leisure in Ambila Lemaitso, situated on the Canal Pangalanes. Swimming in safe grounds is possible. Also a boat-ride on the Canal is offered (optional), some rare plants and animals to be seen on this trip. Hotel Malaky or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Trip to Andasibe to the Nature Reserve Perinet. The biggest Lemur (Indri) lives here. A native guide leads us to observe lots of rare plants and animals. Staying overnight in the bungalows of Feon’ny Ala or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
We spend the whole day in the famous “Analamazaotra-Nature reserve to search for the Indri. Even we try to take pictures of more rare animals and plants, which only found in this part of the Word. Trip to Marozevo to the private reserve Peyreiras to the greatest butterfly- and reptile-breeding of the island. (“Komet”, the biggest butterfly of the world is here resident). Continuation of the journey to Ambatolampy. Overnight in Rendezvous de Pecheurs or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Today we walk over the mountain, have a picknick. Then we visit the village of the wizard, if allowed. In the afternoon we ride via the highlands to Antsirabe. Hotel Diamant or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
Ride to Ambositra, the town of the woodcutters. Visit to some of the manual workers, a blacksmith and if possible a family in their home. Back to Antsirabe and visit to the volcanic lake Tritriva and later on to a stone-cutter’s house. Hotel Diamant or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
After breakfast we start back to Tana. On the way we stop for photomotives like markets, farmers on their paddy-fields and more picture motives. In the afternoon we stroll over Tana’s market where handicrafts, flowers, dresses, clothes, spices are offered. You may buy jour souvenirs. Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.
At our last morning at Madagascar we visit the famous market “Marche de Artisanat” for souvenirs. In the afternoon transfer to Ivato, check-in and back to Paris.
Arrival at CDG Airport Paris and individual journey back home.
