Roundtrip experience

1st day: journey to Paris individual

It’s possible to start the journey from several airports in Germany to Paris.

2nd day: Arrival at Antananarivo

Flight to Antananarivo (Tana), the capital city of Madagascar, in the night. Arrival at Ivato Airport at 3 p.m. Check-out, service and transfer to the Hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast. Short explanations of the journey.

3rd day Antananarivo

Visit of the kings hill Ambohimanga the former capital of the Merina kings. The sightseeing includes a visit of the colonial buildings and a visit of the Botanical Garden Tsimbazaza with its museum. Hotel Gregoire, bed and breakfast or equivalent

4th day: Antananarivo - Antsirabe

Visit of some markets of Antananarivo to get an impression of the way of live in Madagascar. After it our journey leads us by the highland to Antsirabe, a spa known in the colonial times. Visit to a volcano lake. Because there are many minerals, we also go to an precious stones cutter. Bed and breakfast Hotel Diamant or equivalent.

5th day: Antsirabe - National reserve Ranomafana

Continuation of the journey by the highland to Amositra. Sightseeing of a handicrafts factory and drive to Ranomafana. Night excursion to observe the night activities animals - one of the highlights of this journey. Bed and breakfast Bungalow Domaine Nature or equivalent.

6th day: Ranomafana - Fianarantsoa

Day excursion to Ranomafana national reserve. Tropical rain wood, home of different arts of lemurs, exotic freshwater fishes and the Ravinala-palms, also named “tree of the travellers”. Before we begin the journey to Fianarantsoa toward evening, we still go to the hot sources to relax. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Soafia or equivalent.

7th day: Fianarantsoa - Ranohira

Past the granite ninepins of the Andringitra mountains and over the deserted Horombe plateau the journey goes to Ranohira on the edge of the Isalo mountains. Visit of a factory in Ambalavao, where the Antaimoro-Paper is produced. Bed and breakfast, Joyau del Isalo or equivalent.

8th day: Isalo national reserve

Walk in the Isalo national park with picnic at the Piscine Naturelle, a small lake with waterfall. The Isalo is a mountainous region made by the erosion fantastic, bizarre formations with caves, ravines, creeks and oases. Bed and breakfast, Le Joyau del Isalo or equivalent.

9th day: Ranohira - Tulear

Early in the morning journey to Tulear with very beautiful photo motives. On the way visit to the imposing Mahafaly graves. In the afternoon visit of the arboretum with all its succulents from the southern part of the island of Madagascar. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Plazza or equivalent.

10th day: Tulear - Anakao

In the morning meeting place at the port, from where we are going by motorized dug-out to Anakao over the open sea for about four hours: A paradisiacal beach away from all tourist paths. Bed and breakfast in the very plain Bungalows Safari Vezo or equivalent.

11th day: Anakao - Nosy Ve

Beach stay, visit of the offshore island of Nosy Ve, a pure sandbank on which rare birds nest. Bed and breakfast, Bungalow Safari Vezo or equivalent.

12th day: Anakao - Tulear

The adventurous journey goes back by the motorized dug-out via the sea to Tulear today. In the afternoon depending on time of arrival town inspection and if necessary visit of the ethnic graphic museum. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Plazza or equivalent.

13th day: Tulear - Morondava

Transfer and flight to Morondava in the morning. We go to our hotel for refreshing here at once. Then we find out the nearer surroundings of the town with market, port and the long sandy beaches. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Arche Noah or equivalent.

14th day: Morondava and surroundings

The most impressive of the seven types of monkey-bread tree growing in Madagascar finding in the surroundings of the coastal resort Morondava. The journey to the famous Baobab avenue leads us past at some beautiful villages of the Sakalava and gives opportunity for photos of whose graves which are decorated here with wood sculptures. Bed and breakfast, Hotel Arche Noah or equivalent.

15th day: Morondava - Antananarivo

Depending on flying times, desire and mood once again beach stay or beach stroll. Transfer and return flight after Tana. Here further shipment to our hotel Gregoire or equivalent, bed and breakfast.

16th day: Antananarivo - Flight back

Visit to the famous market “Marche de Artisanat”. Possibility to get some souvenirs. Transfer to the airport and flight back to Paris at 5:05 p. m.

17th day: Arrival at Paris

Continuation of the flight and journey to the individual hometown.
