1st day: Individual journey
Individual journey to Paris CDG. Flight with Air Madagascar to the capital city of Madagascar, Antananarivo (Tana)
2nd day: Arrival at Antananarivo, Tsimbazaza
Arrival in Tana in the morning. Transfer to your hotel. After welcome and refreshing first information and discussion about the further journey. Walk through toe zoological botanical garden Tsimbazaza to inspect Madagascar’s plants, different sorts of animals, specially lemurs. In it’s small museum we take a look at some prehistoric exhibits, among other things skeletons of the extinct giant bird Rock. Different graves bear witness to the different grave culture of the Madagascan tribes. Breakfast (35 km)
3rd day: Antananarivo - Antsirabe
Inspection of the much markets of Tana in the morning. Drive via the central highlands to Antsirabe. Along the road there are paddy-fields in different shades of greens, interrupted by the typical red brick houses. Breakfast (170 km)
4th day: Antsirabe - Fianarantsoa
Antsirabe, town of the rickshaws and half precious stones, centre of trade, agriculture and industry. Visit to a workshop where stones are cut for jewellery. In good weather journey to the legendary Tritriva crater lake and eventually walk around it. Then continuation of the journey with small breaks by the Betsileo country to the remote Fianarantsoa, centre of the Madagascan vine-growing. Breakfast (230 km)
5th day: Ranomafana
Excursion to the rainforest national park Ranomafana. This primeval rainforest us under the protection of WWF. There is a large number of species in fauna and flora. Several lemurs, reptiles, birds, butterflies could be watched. A few years ago explorer discovered the golden lemur and the world’s smallest frog. Impressive rainforest experience. Breakfast (120) km
6th day: Ranohira
Continuation of the fantastic landscape journey by savannah landscape to Ambalavao, past sacred mountain Ambondrombe at the Andr11/13/2005 7:54 AMra. Breakfast and dinner (290 km)
7th day: National park Isalo
Walk in the midst of vegetation rich in contrast. In the bizarre rock formations caves, waterfalls and oases. With a little luck we sight lemurs and black parrots. Breakfast and dinner (12 km)
8th day: Tulear
Drive direction west coast through the half desert. The way is lined by palm trees and Baobab trees. Away visit of Mahafaly graves. In the afternoon stroll through the town in Tulear. Breakfast and dinner (250 km)
9th day: Antananarivo
Flight back to the capital city. The remaining day is available. Breakfast
10th day: Manambato
Drive to the rain forest. On the way stop in Marozevo to visit a butterfly-farm, where we could admire the greatest butterfly on earth. Continuous drive to Manambato at the Canal des Pangalanes. Boat trip to the lake Ampitabe. Breakfast (280 km)
11th day: Akanyn ny Nofy
Visit to al Palmarium, a botanical garden midst of the jungle, where we undergo more several species of animals. Breakfast
12th day: Tamatave
Walk in the morning through the rain forest - with a lot of orchids, carnivorous plants, in th freshwater lakes are native crocodiles. At noon we start for an impressive ride with the motor-boat on the world longest channel to Tamatave. Breakfast (60 km)
13th day: Tamatave - Andasibe
Sightseeing in Tamatave, biggest port and second-biggest city of Madagascar. In connection drive to the Analamazaotra nature reserve, home of many different species of lemurs and makis. And in the evening a night excursion. breakfast (245 km)
14th day: Analamazaotra-Naturreservat
Today is complete reserved for Madagascar’s Flora and Fauna we observe in one of the beautiful nature parks of the island. Also a walk on the traces of the Indri. Breakfast.
15th day: Ambohimanga - Antananarivo
Return in the early morning by a mountainous jungle landscape to Tana. Visit to the kings hill Ambohimanga with its 200 year old fort, one of the sacred places for every Madagassen. Breakfast (160 km)
16th day: Antananarivo - Flight back to Paris
Visit to the “Marche d’Artisanat”, the so-called artisan market in the morning. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon and flight back to Paris in the evening.
17th day: Paris - Germany
Arrival in Paris in the moring, Continuation of the flight with Lufthansa to Frankfurt.
